EVYAP factory in Turkey

The success story of Evyap began in 1927, when Mehmet Rifat Evyap founded the soap factory in Erzurum in the north east Turkey. After 16 successful years of work, production was moved to Istanbul.
In 1980, modern factory in Istanbul began its production, located in the industrial area of Ayazaga.
Well-equipped factory Ayazaga occupies area of 253,000 sq mi. Production capacity of this plant – 300,000 tons of soap, 20,000 tons of glycerin and 52.5 million aerosol cans annually.
In 2003, personal care factory in Tuzla began production in the east corner of Istanbul. Today, its production capacity is 600 million baby diapers, 160 million units of products for feminine hygiene and 650 million of wet napkins.
Using modern technology, the company produces: solid and liquid soaps, shower gels, products for skin care, baby diapers and feminine hygiene products, cosmetics for children, toothpaste, shaving products, shampoo and other cosmetics.
Evyap paid attention to high quality of its products. All products are manufactured according to the standard ISO 9002. More than 2500 people were involved in the production, where the factory received Certificate TS 18001 of occupational health and safety systems.
Evyap also focused attention on protecting the environment, which supports ISO 14001 certificate, received by the company in 2003.
Investments of Evyap are not limited to inside borders of Turkey. In Egypt, there is a modern factory in operation, located in Alexandria with a capacity of 30 000 tons of soap. Using their supply chain, Evyap supplied its products to Egyptian, Middle Eastern and African markets.
In 2003, Evyap seaport became operational in the Gulf of Izmit with a total area of 240,000 sq.m.
In 2006, producer of cosmetics and perfumes Aromel joined Evyap’s company. This allowed the company to expand its product range and secure its share in the perfume market.
Evyap - one of top 100 largest industrial companies in Turkey, provides 70% of total exports of soap from Turkey.
Since company’s foundation and to this present day, the main goal of the company is to produce high quality products with the most competitive price around the world.
